{"id":631,"date":"2018-09-24T08:29:28","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T08:29:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.radirofestival.ro\/?page_id=631"},"modified":"2018-10-10T11:36:16","modified_gmt":"2018-10-10T11:36:16","slug":"the-romanian-radio-academic-choir","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.radirofestival.ro\/?page_id=631&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The Romanian Radio Academic Choir"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Established in 1940 under the leadership of conductor and composer Ioan Croitoru, the Romanian Radio Academic Choir holds an impressively large repertoire, spanning from oratorios, cantatas and madrigals, to poems, ballads and numerous miniatures.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel with performing during every season at the Romanian Radio Hall, the Romanian Radio Academic Choir \u2013 formed of around 70 professional musicians \u2013 carries out recordings for albums and for the Romanian Radio archive. The choir promotes both Romania\u2019s traditional values as well as contemporary music, including national premieres. An important distinctive element of the choir\u2019s evolution is represented by the a cappella concerts, which go in line with the tradition of the national choral music.<\/p>\n<p>The Romanian Radio Academic Choir has toured in Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Israel and collaborated with renowned world orchestras, under the baton of well-known Romanian and foreign conductors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-779 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radirofestival.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/poza-C-Tutu-300x274-1-300x274.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"128\" height=\"117\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"m_5386366302657092470ydp2293f764yahoo-style-wrap\">\n<p class=\"m_5386366302657092470ydpaf19dc76MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">A conductor of the Romanian Radio Academic Choir since 2016, Ciprian \u021au\u021bu has set as a goal to diversify and modernize the ensemble&#8217;s repertoire. He has performed in various artistic events, from opera shows to a cappella, accompaniment and symphony music concerts, together with renowned Romanian and foreign orchestras.
